This policy explains what information the Heat Pump Guide app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@heatpumpparts.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and name, and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the account identifier they give us. We use these to sign you in.
- Subscription status. Whether you have Pro, and the purchase records the App Store or Google Play send us. We do not see or store your card or bank details; Apple and Google handle payment.
- Technical records. Our servers log requests (for example, which manual was requested and when) to keep the service working and secure.
What stays on your phone
The manuals you open, your Recent list and your monthly count of free opens are stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. Downloaded manuals and the Recent list are removed when you sign out. Everything is removed when you delete the app.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No selling or sharing of your information for marketing.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
Services that process information for us
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Convex: our app server and database.
- Cloudflare: storage of the manual files.
- RevenueCat: subscription status.
- Apple and Google: sign-in (if you choose it) and payments.
Some of these services may process information outside the UK. They do so under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details until you delete your account. Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Account > Delete account. This deletes your account straight away. A subscription is not cancelled automatically: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You can also ask us by email to delete your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how it is used. Email support@heatpumpparts.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
The app is meant for heat pump installers and engineers. It is not aimed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
